Job Description

Under the supervision of the foreman, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for supporting the team with various tasks to ensure smooth construction operations. In this role, you will collaborate with foremen and project managers, providing manual support.

Main Responsibilities

• Retrieve parts from clients and suppliers.
• Move between job sites to assist foremen and address on-site needs.
• Use rigging and lifting equipment.
• Clean equipment after work is completed.
• Fill equipment and vehicles with diesel.
• Maintain cleanliness at construction sites.
• Install safety equipment on-site.
• Use tools for maintenance tasks in the workshop.
• Perform daily checks and maintenance on equipment or tools and report any necessary repairs.
• Act as a confined space monitor (after training).
• Complete other related tasks as requested by foremen.

Experience, Skills & Education

• High school diploma (Grade 12) or DEP (Vocational Diploma).
• 1 year of experience on various construction sites or as a laborer.
• ASP Construction card.
• Valid explosives permit is an asset; Class 5 driver’s license required.
• Experience driving with trailers.
• Demonstrate an interest in and sensitivity to health and safety at work.
• Be hardworking, autonomous, and have a good team spirit.
